A two-frequency vector equilibrium, or, in more abbreviated terminology, a 2ν VE.

Notice the exterior of this figure outlines the Greeks' cubeoctahedron. It is not the same thing though as here the internal structuring is important. This pattern arises when spheres are packed in layers around a center sphere. The vertexes represent centers of spheres. In this figure we have one sphere surrounded by two layers of spheres. "Frequency" refers to the number of subdivisions in an edge of the figure.

This figure's surface edges (excluding internal subdivisions of faces) can be decomposed into four hexagonal great circles.
